Dhamma Teaching of Luang Phor Phut Thaniyoh
If it is time to offer requisites to the Phra
But the monk didn’t eat my food I presented
Will we still get the full amount of merit?
Will the donor receive merit or not
This depends on the purity of our intentions
If we go and bring things to offer the Phra
But later feel doubtful and suspicious about him
When this Phra is pure or not
We won’t get the full extent of the merit
When we tamboon
Whether we get the full amount of it
Also depends on our intentions
For example if we give to the poor people
Just wishing to assist or support them
Or to a virtuous monastic
Intending to venerating and revere them
Or give to a monk
In order to support the Buddha Sasana
Then our intentions are pure
And then we already make merit
Even if the monk doesn’t eat or use the things
He merely accepts
Its okay, our merit is already full.
Dhamma Teaching of
Luang Phor Phut Thaniyoh
Wat Pa Salawan, Nakhon Ratchasima
Today is one of Samnak Song Tham Sai volunteers' birthday, so she made merit by offering sangkatan to Luang Phor Samruay. She also wrote down her name and D.O.B and placed it below a small Buddha statue representing the day of her birth to offer together with her sangkatan. Later she asked Luang Phor to perform a Sadorkror rite to remove negative energy before requesting for some nammon for a holy shower. We had lunch together and bought her a slice of cake too!
