Luang Pu once told a story,
“There was a monk who practiced meditation until his heart became peaceful. When his citta converged into samadhi, there was a nimitta (vision) that arose where he saw a hundred Buddhas walking to meet him.
This monk was very delighted and overjoyed to have this experience. After his meditation was over, he wanted to tell everyone about it.
So early in the morning, he went to talk to his fellow meditators and tell them about the results of his practice.
But after that, even with his persistent effort in meditation for about a month, he was unable to attain the peaceful samadhi that his citta had converged into like before.”
Luang Pu then advised that, “It is important to keep in mind…most people who know how to do something, usually they would not speak about it.
Whereas many people who talk a lot [about their experiences], they are still unable to do it.”
