Mae Chee Kaew Sianglum taught that,
“When walking back and forth during walking meditation, focus on Buddho.
Don’t ever leave and throw away Buddho.
People who have attained samadhi, and practice walking meditation in this way, their concentration will not decline and can be maintained for a long time.
The mind can settle down quite easily.
As for the body, it also will become light. It will not feel much pain and your legs will not hurt. The blood and wind element can also flow smoothly.
Later when you sit, you can sit for a long time.
You won’t feel sluggish walking during the day time. Food will be digested by the fire element completely. If the citta becomes unified and refined, you may see a tewada holding flowers at the end of the walking meditation path. Some will wai and say ‘Sadhu, Sadhu.’”
It was strange. On some days when the disciples are walking in meditation back and forth the temple, there would be a unnatural fragrance lingering around the place.
One day, Khun Mae Chee Kaew tested her Mae Chee disciples, “Do you notice the pleasant smelling scent or not? It smells like flowers.”
The group of Mae Chees concurred, “We can smell the sweet scent.”
Khun Mae replied, “The tewadas are here to anumodana. Do you see the group of divine beings holding up flowers to bucha [puja] over there?”
